Reignite for Witness - Mr. Herman Wilson
Friday Apr 12, 2024
It may be said that Jesus’ appearances to His disciples after His resurrection were to make known to them the spiritual realities of His inaugurated kingdom. (cf. Luke 24:36b-48) Throughout His earthly ministry, He healed the sick, raised the dead, and forgave sins, thus showing the great depth to which humankind has fallen since the glorious experiences in the Garden of Eden. Jesus’ post- resurrection message is for us to focus on the way He has paved for believers, the new humanity in Him. He wants us to visualize the ultimate eternal, heavenly realities and the beatific vision in a restored Eden. please click here for more information (PDF file) |

Reignite: Resurrection Power Brings Unity - Ms. Amber Bothwell
Friday Apr 05, 2024
As we journey with the theme ‘Reignite: Resurrection Power brings Unity,’ let us reflect on the concept of fellowship found in Acts 4:32-35. “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power, the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them. For from time to time those who owned land or houses sold them, brought the money from the sales, and put it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to anyone who had need.” I will attempt to explore this passage in four ways: Fellowship as a prompt, a promise, a problem, and a pattern. please click here for more information (PDF file) |

The Message of Resurrection - Rev. Otto Menko
Thursday Mar 28, 2024
Please read John 20:1-18 The narrative of Mary Magdalene encountering the risen Jesus is a powerful example of how experiencing the resurrection firsthand can be transformative. Mary's encounter profoundly affected her, altering the course of her life. It is crucial that we, too, have a personal encounter with the risen Jesus rather than just believing in His resurrection. Mary's encounter was not only a historical event but also a deeply personal experience. Similarly, our faith in the resurrection should be rooted in a spiritual experience with the risen Lord. Just as Mary was shaken by her encounter, our encounter with Jesus can also transform our lives and faith, filling us with the promises and power of the resurrection. please click here for more information (PDF file) |

All Praise King Jesus, Righteous King Who Came to Save - Ms. Catherine Gomez
Thursday Mar 21, 2024
I am sure we all remember as children how we would go to church on Palm Sunday and enjoy the decorations of palm branches. Some of us would be selected to walk up the aisle with the branches in our hands. It was a time of celebration and also a reverent time of reflection on the beginning of the days leading up to Jesus's crucifixion and resurrection – the glorious season of Easter. Palm Sunday is a Biblical event mentioned in each of the four gospels and marks the beginning of Holy Week. Not only does Palm Sunday represent the beginning of the countdown to the Passion of Christ, but it also underscores the fulfillment of prophecy, where Jesus is clearly hailed as King and Messiah. please click here for more information (PDF file) |

Jesus: High Priest, of The Order of Melchizedek - Mr. Bryan Bothwell
Friday Mar 15, 2024
Probably, this is not a passage of the Bible that is a favorite of those of us who have grown up in the Christian tradition. In fact, like me, some of you might be uncomfortable with Christ being compared to or described as “in the order of” or “after the order of” any human priest. However, the writer of Hebrews was specifically addressing, literally, “Hebrews”! Hebrew people – the Israelite people. And particularly those who had become followers of Christ, some of whom were wavering in the face of much pressure and persecution. please click here for more information (PDF file) |

Jesus High and Lifted Up - Mrs. Sonia Wallace
Saturday Mar 09, 2024
Please read John 3:14 -18. Many people in our world today are expressing unbelief, sarcasm about faith in God and even utter rejection of a need to believe in God. The passage for reflection is Jesus’ response to Nicodemus, a Pharisee, who was perplexed and doubtful when Jesus answered him. The response highlighted Nicodemus’ unbelief and referred to his need to be “born again” meaning a spiritual rebirth. Jesus proceeded to quote from Numbers 21: 4 -9, verses of scripture Nicodemus would have been familiar with. “...as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness even so must the Son of Man be lifted up that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (NKJV) Let us examine four teachings Jesus conveyed and wants us to know from John chapter 3 and His reference to Numbers 21. please click here for more information (PDF file) |
