Ten New Members Confirm Their Commitment - Glorious Easter at John Gray Memorial

There was literally ‘standing room only’ when John Gray Memorial Church gathered to full capacity in front of the children’s depictions of the Empty Tomb and Empty Cross on Easter Sunday to celebrate the Victory of our Living God. The Minister, the Rev. Tara Tyme Campbell, was later chuckling in delight that once when she went back from the lectern to sit down, even her chair had been taken!

The programme too was packed, with manifestations of God at work in His church – LIFE in the joy of Christ! Happy fellowship and sharing in the Holy Communion; moving prayers; praise and worship in word, song, music and dance; the Children Church delighted everyone with their Easter drama; a young baby was baptised; and ten new Communicant Members were Confirmed. These ranged in age from 10 years upwards, as we were especially blessed to have half of the number being children and teens.  The picture shows Rev. Tara leading the 10 new members in the Act of Confirmation, with a glimpse in the background of the Moderator of the United Church, the Rt. Rev. Dr. Noble Bloomfield, who also participated in the service.
