Come, O Come, Emmanuel, ...

Our Congregations are all filled with expectation and excitement for the start of Advent on Sunday 30th November, as we get ready to relive that special, unmistakable joy of ‘Christmas’, with thanksgiving, prayer and celebrations of all kinds! (See our “Calendar” page for a sampling of special events by some of our Congregations.) We want everyone to join with us in our Sunday morning services as we count down, with the lighting of the Advent Candles, special Scriptures, songs and sermons, as well as all our special Advent (or Christmas) services and other activities, the time when God came to reveal Himself to us as Jesus, the Redeeming Christ. From Sunday 30th November (actually the folks at John Gray Memorial Church are starting from Saturday the 29th!)  through Watch Night service at mid-night on 31st December, our calendars are packed with lots of opportunities for everyone – including times to share some of our blessings with others through extra donations to our Community Pantries or helping in the preparation and distribution of the community meal in West Bay. Come to one of our 9 United Church Congregations across Grand Cayman and join the celebrations and thanksgiving as we worship and honour God in remembrance of His sacrificial generosity in giving to us the Greatest Gift of All.
