Cayman Prep & High School - Prayer Spaces 2018

Prayer Spaces 2018 will run from Monday, 12th March - Friday, 23rd March. The School Library will
be transformed into the Prayer Space by decorating and installing several Prayer Stations. These
displays and stations will provide a variety of visual, auditory, kinesthetic, oral and creative stimuli
which encourage children to think about God and nature; about themselves and about family, friends
and the world around them. The theme for Cayman Prep’s Prayer Spaces 2018 is “All Creation, Praise
the Lord!”. The theme verse comes from Psalm 150:6 “Let everything that has breath praise the
Lord.”

The Prayer Stations aim to create a balance of activities that are directed upwards towards God;
outwards towards others and the world around us; and inwards towards self. Other prayer stations
will provide a place to be still, calm, reflective or quiet.

There is also a special prayer station encouraging students to pray for Matthew Chong Ping. Matthew is a Year 9 students who went through his primary education at the Prep School. Matthew has recently been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is currently at the Baptist Children’s Hospital undergoing chemotherapy treatment. Students are encouraged to write a prayer for Matthew and his family on one of the hearts provided and leave it in the space. These will be collected and sent to him.
