LAY PASTORS' TRAINING
The Cayman Islands Regional Mission Council will be offering a Lay Pastors' Training Course commencing in January 2019. Classes will be held once per month on a Saturday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.Persons interested in being trained as Lay Pastors are being asked to do the following:
1. Prayerfully discern if there is a calling on your life to serve the Church in this area of ministry
2. Converse with your Minister as you discern God's will for your life.
3. Write to your Minister and Congregational Board to receive permission to undertake this course of training. ( There is a Practicum component that has to be undertaken in the local Congregation and the Minister and Congregational Board needs to approve of the person's participation at this level of ministry.
4. Fill in and return the Application Form along with the letter of approval from the Minister of your Congregation. ( Persons will not be allowed to undertake the course of training without the approval of the Minister and the Congregational Board).
Forms are to be submitted to the Regional Deputy General Secretary at the Council Office- 292 Prospect Point Road, George Town Grand Cayman or via email rdgs@cicucjci.com by November 30, 2018.
