UCJCI - AGITATE FOR PEACE CAMPAIGN
The pursuit of PEACE is a pressing issue for us all, and this Campaign aims to cause persons to see the words “AGITATE FOR PEACE” wherever they go. Our main Scripture guide is: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it” (Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV)/ “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it” (Habakkuk2:2 NIV). We recognize the influence that words can have and believe that they are powerful tools for fostering PEACE.
By way of this Campaign, we will stir the Jamaican and Caymanian populace to take action towards engendering PEACE within themselves, their homes/families, communities, nations, and the world, by whatever righteous means necessary. Where we are docile, this Campaign aims to break the inertia and awaken us to reflect on measures that we can take to create PEACE, and then to press in action until this PEACE is apparent in all these spheres.
Flyers are available from your Congregation or the Regional Mission Council Office.
We also request that you encourage your members who are business owners to print and post the flyer or poster on their office/building doors, so that persons entering and leaving may see the words. We would like to have this message spread widely throughout our nations, with the hope that persons will stop and think about actions that they can take right where they are, and then implement those measures.
Please join in this Mission, apply it to your own life, and use it to bring change to other people’s lives. Together we can be the change that we want to see, and move our nations steps closer to where we desire to be.
